About the Role

We are looking for a commercially driven Pricing Specialist to manage and develop competitive freight rates across our international logistics operations.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in freight forwarding pricing, rate negotiation, quotation management, carrier/airline coordination, and margin optimisation. The role requires strong market awareness, attention to detail, and the ability to respond quickly to customer and sales requirements.

Key Responsibilities

· Manage pricing for Air Freight, Sea Freight, and other international logistics services.

· Source and negotiate competitive rates with shipping lines, airlines, NVOCCs, overseas agents, and other service providers.

· Obtain, analyse, and maintain freight rates, surcharges, local charges, and destination charges.





· Prepare accurate and commercially viable quotations for the Sales and Business Development teams.

· Ensure quotations are competitive while maintaining target margins and profitability.

· Analyse market rates and monitor competitor pricing and industry trends.

· Develop and maintain a structured rate database for different trade lanes, origins, destinations, carriers, and service types.

· Coordinate with overseas agents and international partners to obtain destination rates and routing options.

· Evaluate multiple routing and carrier options to identify the best combination of cost, transit time, service reliability, and margin.

· Handle urgent spot-rate requests and time-sensitive quotations.

Required Skills & Competencies

· Strong understanding of international freight forwarding and logistics pricing.

· Practical knowledge of Air Freight and Sea Freight rates and charges.

· Understanding of Incoterms, freight terms, local charges, surcharges, and shipment costing.

· Strong negotiation and vendor-management skills.

· Excellent numerical and analytical ability.

· Ability to calculate cost, selling price, markup, and gross margin accurately.

· Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills.

· Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple pricing requests simultaneously.

· Strong communication skills with internal teams, customers, carriers, and overseas agents.
