About the Role

We are hiring a Political Content & Researcher (Punjabi) to support our Media, Social Media, and Political Communication team .

The role involves researching Punjab politics, political leaders, parties, elections, government policies, local issues and current affairs, and converting this information into creative inputs for graphics, videos, reels, social media posts and other campaign content .

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who follows Punjab politics closely, understands Punjabi media and can identify stories and facts that can be turned into engaging digital content.

Key Responsibilities

- Research daily political developments across Punjab.
- Monitor Punjabi newspapers, digital media, social media and other reliable sources.
- Research political leaders, parties, elections, constituencies and major political issues.
- Identify interesting political stories, facts, statistics and trends for social media content.
- Prepare research briefs for graphics, reels, videos, carousels and infographics .
- Provide hooks, headlines, storylines, facts and visual references to the creative team.
- Support the team with Punjabi content, captions, headlines and translations.
- Fact-check political claims, statistics, names, dates and election-related information.
- Track emerging political narratives and trending topics.
- Quickly research breaking political developments and provide verified information to the content team.
- Maintain organised research databases and source references.
- Work closely with graphic designers, video editors and social media managers.

What We Are Looking For




- Strong understanding of Punjab politics and current affairs .
- Excellent Punjabi reading and comprehension skills.
- Good written English.
- Strong internet research and fact-checking skills.
- Ability to identify content-worthy political stories.
- Good understanding of Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and X.
- Ability to convert political information into simple, engaging content ideas.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Journalism, Mass Communication, Public Policy, Sociology or a related field.
- Experience in political research, journalism, political consulting, digital media or social media.
- Knowledge of Punjab's districts and Assembly constituencies.
- Experience working with political or public figures' social media.
- Basic knowledge of Canva or other design tools is an advantage, but designing/editing is not the primary responsibility of this role .
