We are looking for an experienced Plant Manager to lead our forging manufacturing operations and take responsibility for production, quality, productivity, manpower and overall plant performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, manage and monitor day-to-day forging production.
- Ensure production targets are achieved within planned timelines.
- Improve productivity, machine utilisation and overall operational efficiency.
- Manage manpower, shifts and shop-floor activities.
- Monitor forging processes, material utilisation and rejection/rework.
- Coordinate with quality, maintenance, stores, purchase and dispatch teams.
- Implement preventive maintenance and minimise machine downtime.
- Identify bottlenecks and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to safety, quality and production standards.
- Monitor production costs and implement cost-reduction measures.
- Maintain production reports, KPIs and operational MIS.
- Lead and develop the plant workforce.
Requirements
- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Production or Industrial Engineering preferred.
- 8–15 years of experience in forging, heavy engineering or manufacturing operations.
- Strong knowledge of closed-die forging and shop-floor operations preferred.
- Experience in production planning, manpower management and process improvement.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work hands-on with production teams and drive accountability.
