Role & responsibilities

Competitive Benchmarking & Product Analysis

- Lead competitive benchmarking studies for suspension bushings, links, mounts, and chassis components.
- Conduct detailed product comparisons to identify performance, design, cost, and manufacturing advantages.
- Develop benchmarking strategies and comparison methodologies.

Teardown Analysis & Engineering Evaluation

- Plan and execute component teardown activities.
- Perform dimensional measurements, weight analysis, material investigations, and comparative assessments.
- Document findings and provide engineering evaluations of competitor products.

Design & Manufacturing Analysis

- Analyze competitor designs, materials, manufacturing processes, and cost drivers.
- Evaluate product architectures, assembly methods, and material selections.
- Provide recommendations for design optimization and cost reduction opportunities.

Intellectual Property & Patent Analysis

- Review patents, intellectual property filings, and competitive technology trends.
- Identify potential IP risks and emerging technologies relevant to suspension and chassis systems.
- Support innovation and product development teams with competitive intelligence.

Technical Reporting & Communication

- Prepare detailed benchmarking reports, engineering presentations, and technical recommendations.
- Present findings during design reviews and technical discussions.
- Collaborate with design, CAE, manufacturing, purchasing, and product management teams.





Competitive Gap Assessment

- Identify performance, durability, manufacturability, and cost gaps compared to competitor products.
- Support continuous improvement and product enhancement initiatives.
- Recommend actionable strategies to improve product competitiveness.

Engineering Data Management

- Maintain benchmarking databases, comparison matrices, technical records, and measurement data.
- Ensure traceability and accuracy of benchmarking information.

Required Technical Skills

- Solid experience in Competitive Benchmarking and Product Analysis.
- Expertise in Component Teardown Analysis and Engineering Evaluation.
- Knowledge of Suspension Systems, Bushings, Mounts, Links, and Chassis Components.
- Understanding of Rubber-to-Metal Components and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to interpret Engineering Drawings, GD&T;, and Material Specifications.
- Experience in Design and Manufacturing Analysis.
- Knowledge of automotive materials, production methods, and cost drivers.
- Familiarity with benchmarking tools, measurement equipment, and engineering analysis techniques.

Risk & Compliance Responsibilities

- Assess intellectual property risks, competitive threats, and technical concerns.
- Support risk identification and mitigation activities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies related to benchmarking and competitive intelligence.
