Role Description The Parent Educator role at Blackhat Junior International is an in office position based in Mumbai.

The Parent

Educator will work closely with parents and caregivers to support them in understanding technology, digital safety, and the learning needs of their children. Day-to-day responsibilities include delivering parent education sessions and workshops, providing guidance on parenting strategies related to tech use and digital habits, and offering individual support through case management when needed. The role also involves collaborating with educators and program staff to align parent-focused initiatives with the broader curriculum,



maintaining explicit records of parent interactions, and actively communicating updates, resources, and best practices to families.

The Parent

Educator will help build a supportive community where parents feel informed, confident, and engaged in their child’s digital learning journey.

Qualifications

- Ability to provide Parent Education and Parenting Skills Training, including facilitating workshops and one-to-one guidance.
- Experience with Case Management, such as tracking family needs, creating action plans, and following up on support provided.
- Strong Communication skills, with the capacity to explain complex digital concepts in clear, accessible language.
- Foundational knowledge of Psychology, especially child and family dynamics, to inform supportive and empathetic interactions.
- Background in education, social work, counseling, or related fields; relevant certifications or degrees are an advantage.
- Comfort working in an on-site, child-centered environment and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to build trust with parents from diverse backgrounds and maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.
- Interest in technology, digital safety, and AI literacy; willingness to stay updated on emerging trends in the digital space.
