Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Nurse role based at the Dindigul branch of CARE De-addiction and Psychiatric Treatment Centre. The Nurse will provide direct patient care to individuals undergoing de-addiction and psychiatric treatment, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications as prescribed, and assisting with medical and therapeutic procedures.

Responsibilities include observing and documenting patient progress, supporting counselling and therapeutic activities, and responding to emergencies in coordination with medical and psychiatric professionals. The Nurse will help maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment,



educate patients and families on treatment plans and recovery processes, and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings. The role also involves maintaining accurate clinical records, adhering to ethical and professional standards, and contributing to relapse prevention and rehabilitation programs.

Qualifications

- Recognized nursing qualification (Diploma in Nursing/B.Sc Nursing) and valid registration with the appropriate nursing council.
- Experience or strong interest in psychiatric nursing, de-addiction care, or mental health settings.
- Ability to provide compassionate, non-judgmental, and trauma-informed care to individuals with addiction and mental health challenges.
- Robust clinical skills in medication administration, monitoring vital signs, basic emergency care, and patient assessment.
- Effective communication skills to interact with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams, including clear documentation of care.
- Ability to work collaboratively with psychiatrists, psychologists, counsellors, and social workers in a team-based environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail in maintaining records and following protocols.
- Willingness to work in an on-site, full-time role in Dindigul and to adapt to structured routines and shift-based duties if required.
- Basic computer skills for electronic documentation and familiarity with healthcare record-keeping systems.
- Prior experience in rehabilitation, counselling support, or community health will be an added advantage.
