Role Description The News Anchor role at Sudarshan News Channel is a full time, on-site position based in Noida. In this role, the anchor presents live and recorded news bulletins, conducts interviews, moderates debates, and introduces special segments in a clear and engaging manner. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing scripts, coordinating with reporters and producers, refining news copy, and ensuring accurate, balanced delivery of news stories.

The anchor may participate in editorial discussions, help shape story angles, and provide feedback on visuals and graphics to enhance viewer understanding. The position requires consistent on-air professionalism, adherence to editorial guidelines, and the ability to perform effectively under breaking-news conditions and tight deadlines.

Qualifications





- Strong news presentation skills, with experience as a Presenter or News Anchor in a television or digital news environment.
- Proficiency in Reporting and Broadcast Journalism, including gathering information, verifying facts, and working closely with newsroom teams.
- Solid News Writing and scripting capabilities, with the ability to adapt complex information into clear, concise, audience-friendly language.
- Broadcasting skills, including on-camera presence, voice modulation, and familiarity with studio operations and live production workflows.
- Excellent verbal communication skills and confident on-air demeanor, with the ability to handle live interviews and breaking news situations.
- Strong editorial judgment, attention to detail, and commitment to accuracy and fairness in news coverage.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required in a 24x7 news environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Media Studies, or a related field is preferred; relevant professional experience may also be considered.
- Comfort working in high-pressure settings, collaborating with producers, reporters, technical staff, and other anchors.
- Familiarity with Indian current affairs, politics, and social issues, and the ability to quickly grasp and explain complex topics to a broad audience.
