Senior NestJS Developer - 5 to 7 Years

Roles & Responsibilities

- Understand backend architecture, API strategy, and prepare technical design using NestJS.
- Build scalable, secure, and highperformance RESTful microservices following best practices.
- Drive adoption of microservices architecture and cloudnative design principles.
- Ensure high standards of code quality, performance optimization, security, and scalability.
- Review code, enforce engineering best practices, and mentor junior backend developers.
- Collaborate closely with frontend, QA, DevOps, architects, and product teams to deliver business solutions.
- Design, develop, and optimize PostgreSQL database schemas, complex joins, and queries.
- Implement application resilience, robust error handling, retries, and faulttolerant mechanisms.
- Implement and maintain logging, monitoring, alerting, and observability for backend services.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and perform cloud deployments on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Handle production incidents, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and deliver preventive fixes.
- Ensure compliance with insurance regulations, audits, data privacy, and security standards.

Education

- BE / B.Tech degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Required Experience & Skills

- 5 to 7 years of strong core backend development experience with NestJS & Data Modelling.




- Strong proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript.
- Expertise in REST API design and development.
- Cloudnative development exposure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Indepth understanding of microservices architecture and design patterns.
- Strong experience with PostgreSQL and other relational databases.
- Proven skills in SQL query optimization, database performance tuning & Data Modelling.
- Experience with eventdriven architectures and messaging systems.
- Handson experience with Docker and containerized applications.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes or container orchestration concepts.
- Strong understanding of API security, including JWT, OAuth2, and rolebased access control (RBAC).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, build automation, and release processes.
- Solid experience in logging, monitoring, tracing, and troubleshooting production systems.
- Domain knowledge in General Insurance (health, motor, travel) is highly preferred.
