Role Description The Murex Consultant will work full time on-site at the Mumbai office, collaborating closely with technology, trading, risk, and operations teams.

Responsibilities include configuring, customizing, and maintaining Murex modules across front office, risk, and back office, as well as supporting trade workflows, pricing, and risk calculations. The role involves gathering requirements, designing solutions, performing gap analysis, and translating business needs into technical specifications within the Murex platform. The consultant will handle end-to-end testing, including unit, integration, and regression testing, and will troubleshoot production issues,



perform root cause analysis, and implement enhancements.

Daily tasks also include documentation of configurations and processes, user training, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders to ensure reliable and efficient Murex environments.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated expertise in Murex configuration and implementation, including front office, risk, and back office modules.
- Strong knowledge of financial products (FX, rates, derivatives, fixed income) and related trade lifecycle and risk management processes.
- Experience in requirement gathering, solution design, and translating business needs into functional and technical specifications.
- Proficiency in testing methodologies (unit, system, integration, regression) and production support, including incident analysis and resolution.
- Solid understanding of SQL, databases, and scripting or programming concepts relevant to Murex customization and interfaces.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across technology and business teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a structured approach to documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related field; prior experience as a Murex Consultant or similar role in capital markets is highly beneficial.
