Role Overview The Media Scan & Insight Gatherer (Punjabi) will be responsible for continuously monitoring Punjab's news media, digital platforms and social media to identify important political developments, emerging narratives, public reactions, controversies and content opportunities.

The role will support the Media, Social Media, Research and Campaign teams by converting large volumes of media information into short, relevant and actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

- Daily monitoring of Punjabi newspapers, TV news, digital news portals and social media.
- Track news and statements related to political parties, leaders, MLAs, MPs and government departments.
- Identify important political developments, controversies and emerging issues.
- Monitor what is trending across Punjab's political and social media ecosystem.
- Identify issues receiving high public attention or criticism.
- Track statements, speeches, interviews and social media posts of important political leaders.
- Monitor opposition narratives and counter-narratives.
- Identify positive, negative and neutral narratives around key political personalities and issues.
- Track public reactions and discussions in Punjabi digital media and social platforms.
- Identify potential topics for graphics, reels, videos, social media posts and campaign communication.
- Share important news and developments with the relevant team on a daily/real-time basis.
- Maintain a structured database of important news, issues, statements and sources.
- Verify important information before circulating it internally.
- Prepare short daily/weekly media scan reports.

- Understanding of Punjab's political parties, leaders and regional issues.
- Experience using Google Sheets/Excel for tracking information.
- Basic understanding of social media trends and analytics.
