Roles & Responsibilities
- Review customer drawings, BOM, and mechanical assembly specifications for NPI projects.
- Develop and implement mechanical assembly processes, SOPs, and work instructions.
- Plan and execute prototype, engineering, pilot, and mass production builds.
- Design, validate, and maintain assembly jigs, fixtures, torque tools, and special tooling.
- Conduct line readiness, process validation, and manufacturing qualification before production.
- Prepare and maintain Process Flow, PFMEA, Control Plan, and Standard Work documents.
- Optimize assembly line layout, ergonomics, and line balancing to improve productivity.
- Monitor assembly cycle time, UPH, and manpower utilization to achieve production targets.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, SCM, Test Engineering,
and suppliers for project execution.
- Lead root cause analysis (5 Why, Fishbone, 8D) and implement CAPA for assembly issues.
- Ensure compliance with customer specifications, ESD, and EHS requirements.
- Support engineering change implementation (ECN/ECR) and maintain revision control documentation.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives including 5S, Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, and waste reduction.
- Support customer audits, product validation, PPAP/FAI activities, and on-time project milestones.
- Track project KPIs such as FPY, productivity, quality, delivery, and continuously improve mechanical assembly performance.
