Experience: 8-12 Years
Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
Industry Preference: Integrated Steel Plant / Captive Power Plant / Thermal Power Plant
Job Purpose To lead mechanical maintenance activities of the Captive Power Plant by ensuring reliable operation of turbines, boilers, pumps, compressors, piping systems and auxiliary equipment for uninterrupted and secure power generation.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Plan and execute preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance of all CPP mechanical equipment.
- Maintain boiler, turbine, pumps, compressors, cooling water systems, gearboxes, valves and piping.
- Coordinate annual shutdowns and overhauls.
- Reduce equipment downtime through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Monitor equipment health, vibration and lubrication practices.
- Coordinate with Operations, Electrical and C&I; departments.
- Maintain maintenance history, PM schedules and spare parts inventory.
- Supervise engineers, technicians and contractor manpower.
- Ensure statutory, safety and environmental compliance.
- Drive reliability improvement and maintenance cost optimization.
