Who we are
Plaksha is a 21st-century university focused on solving global challenges through transformative technology education. A unique collective philanthropy effort, our initiative is driven by a dedicated team committed to advancing technology education in India.
Role: Manager-Integrated Marketing
Plakshas marketing work is broadly split across six functions: video, content, design, website, digital marketing, and PR. Each touchpoint a video, a paid ad, a press mention, a landing page carries a message on its own. A campaign brings several of these touchpoints together on a single timeline, toward the same goal, with one message.
The Integrated Marketing Manager owns the message, brief, channel and calendar for every major campaign. Digital Marketing, which includes media buying and social media, will report into this role.
Direct reports: Digital Marketing (includes media buying and social media; SEO agency and 2 performance-marketing agencies)
Strategic Campaign Planning
- Plan and ideate each major campaign with the Communications Lead.
- Identify the story angle for each campaign the specific narrative moment, a faculty breakthrough, a student journey, a milestone, a partnership – that anchors the campaign message.
- Decide, for each campaign, which digital channels (social, paid, search, website) and which non-digital channels (events, PR, print) will be used, based on the audience and the objective.
- Build and maintain the single, cross-functional campaign calendar spanning admissions cycles, convocation, flagship events, hackathons, and always-on brand content.
- Set the campaign brief – objective, audience, message, emotional register and timing – for each major campaign before production begins, and ensure that every channel follows the same brief.
Digital Marketing Direction
- Direct Digital Marketing’s paid and organic execution, including social media, SEO/AEO, media buying, influencer marketing and performance-marketing agencies, against the agreed campaign brief and calendar.
- Review agency and social performance data jointly with Digital Marketing, and translate insight into adjustments to targeting, messaging, or flighting.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Ensure that Content, Video, Design, Website, and PR output matches the agreed brief before a campaign goes live.
- Work with market insights (admissions-funnel data, applicant and alumni feedback, competitor benchmarking) to inform campaign adjustments mid-flight.
- Own budget tracking, agency-contract oversight, and brand-guideline compliance across all campaign materials.
- Partner with the Corporate Partnerships and Development teams on co-branded or sponsor-linked campaign moments.
Reporting & Governance
- Lead the monthly cross-functional campaign review with Video, Content, Design, Website, PR, and Digital Marketing.
- Report campaign-calendar adherence and brief-compliance to the Communications Lead.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required; a Master’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field is preferred.
- 10+ years in integrated marketing, brand marketing, or marketing communications, ideally spanning both brand-building and performance channels.
- Experience in briefing and coordinating creative,
content, media, and PR teams against a shared campaign calendar.
- Experience in running full campaigns end to end, not producing isolated content pieces alone.
- Exposure to agency management (SEO, performance marketing, or media buying), to social media strategy, and to influencer or creator partnerships is a solid advantage.
Skills
- Campaign planning and cross-functional project management.
- Platform-native fluency across YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram, Meta, and Google, sufficient to brief and question the agencies and teams that execute on each.
- Comfort reading performance data (funnel, traffic, conversion, social engagement) well enough to brief and question Digital Marketing’s agencies, without needing to run the buy personally.
- Strong written and verbal communication; able to translate a business objective into a brief a creative team can act on.
- Editorial judgement: able to write a single brief that a designer, videographer, and content writer can each interpret into their own format.
- Stakeholder management across functions that do not report to this role – Content, Design, Video, Website, PR, and Insights.
- Comfortable moving fast: testing formats, reading results, and adjusting the plan within the same campaign rather than only at its close.
