What you will be doing:

Albertson's Companies is re-imagining the grocery experience through a digital and customer experience transformation. The DAM Administrator will oversee daily and business-as-usual (BAU) administrative operations of our new digital asset management (DAM) platform. S/he will be responsible for onboarding new users; creating user accounts; updating/maintaining metadata schemas; onboarding new business units into the DAM and building folder repositories to specifications; overseeing and maintaining automated workflow queues; and reporting on system/platform usage metrics and uptime.

This role will also serve as initial points-of-contact for system/platform troubleshooting and user support. The right candidate will be able to interface with different internal and external business units; able to engage & escalate to Engineering when needed; understand basic business requirements, needs, and urgency; uphold and enforce platform standards & conventions; and act as liaison to business stakeholders and librarians. This position requires prior experience managing digital asset management platforms; familiarity with managing digital media content & metadata; and a background in digital operations.

Position Title: Manager Engineering:

We are seeking a visionary and results-driven Engineering Manager to lead our eCommerce Search and Catalog engineering teams. This leader will be responsible for building and scaling world-class search and product discovery experiences that power our grocery retail platform. You will drive the technical strategy, architecture, and execution of our Search and Catalog systems, ensuring seamless, personalized, and high-performance experiences for millions of customers.

Roles & responsibilities:

- Lead and grow high-performing engineering teams focused on search relevance, catalog management, and product discovery.
- Define and execute the technical roadmap for search and catalog platforms, aligning with business goals and customer needs.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Data Science, UX, and Business teams to deliver cutting-edge and scalable solutions.
- Champion engineering excellence, agile practices, and a culture of continuous improvement.
- Ensure high availability, performance, resiliency, and modularity of search and catalog services.
- Stay ahead of industry trends in AI/ML, search technologies, and eCommerce innovation.

Experience Required:

- 7+ years of software engineering experience
- Experience building and leading high-performance teams
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or related field.
- Proven experience building large-scale consumer facing applications
- Ability to create, influence and present complex system architecture and design
- Deep understanding of search technologies (e.g., Elasticsearch, Solr, vector search, LLMs)
- Deep understanding of data pipelines and distributed computing (Spark / Databricks)
- Deep understanding of event streaming (Kafka or Rabbit MQ OR MQ or WebSphere MQ)




- Deep understanding of SQL and NOSQL DB (Mongo DB/Cassandra)
- Knowledge of front-end frameworks like ReactJS or Angular
- Knowledge of native mobile development iOS and Android.
