Manager Employee Relations & Business Partnering

Job Location: Alwar, Rajasthan

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Manager – Employee Relations & Business Partnering for a globally respected manufacturing and engineering organization.

This is a key HR leadership role supporting a large manufacturing workforce of approximately 2,500–3,000 employees. The role will focus on strengthening Employee Relations, HR Business Partnering, workforce effectiveness, statutory compliance, employee engagement, and people management practices.

The ideal candidate should have solid plant HR experience, excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, and the ability to effectively partner with business and plant leadership.

Note: There is currently no union at the plant. However, the candidate should have strong Employee Relations experience and the ability to proactively maintain a positive and harmonious workplace environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. HR Business Partnering

- Partner closely with plant leadership and functional heads to implement effective people and organizational strategies.
- Support workforce planning, manpower budgeting, and organizational effectiveness initiatives for a large manufacturing workforce.
- Drive performance management, talent reviews, succession planning, and employee development initiatives.
- Coach and support managers on people management, employee engagement, performance, and leadership effectiveness.
- Analyze HR metrics and workforce trends and recommend actions aligned with business objectives.
- Support organizational change and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure consistent implementation of HR policies, processes, and best practices across the plant.
- Act as a trusted HR partner to business leaders and key stakeholders.

1. Employee Relations

- Foster and maintain positive employee and workmen relations across the manufacturing facility.




- Proactively identify and address employee concerns before they escalate into larger issues.
- Handle employee grievances, conflict resolution, disciplinary processes, and investigations effectively and fairly.
- Drive transparent and effective employee communication across different workforce levels.
- Support employee welfare, engagement, and workplace improvement initiatives.
- Build strong relationships with employees, supervisors, and line managers to maintain a positive work environment.
- Ensure fair, consistent, and timely resolution of employee relations matters.

1. Industrial Relations & Labour Compliance

- Support the organization in maintaining a stable and harmonious industrial relations environment.
- Ensure compliance with applicable Indian labour laws, statutory regulations, and internal HR policies.
- Liaise and coordinate with labour authorities, government departments, and external agencies as required.
- Support labour inspections, statutory audits, and internal compliance reviews.
- Monitor compliance risks and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain accurate statutory documentation, registers, records, and compliance reports.

1. Compliance & HR Operations

- Ensure adherence to all applicable labour legislation and statutory requirements.
- Support internal and external audits related to HR and statutory compliance.
- Maintain accurate HR documentation, reports, and compliance records.
- Support the effective implementation of HR policies and standard operating procedures.
- Promote ethical practices, organizational values, and a strong compliance culture.

Stakeholder Management & Communication

- Work closely with plant leadership, functional heads, line managers, and employees.
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills while handling sensitive employee matters.
- Build credibility and strong working relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Communicate HR policies, organizational initiatives, and important people-related information effectively.
- Handle complex and sensitive situations with maturity, confidence, and professionalism.

Desired Candidate Profile
- Strong experience in HR Business Partnering and Employee Relations within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Experience supporting a large workforce, preferably in a manufacturing plant environment.
- Hands-on experience in grievance handling, disciplinary processes, conflict resolution, employee engagement, and labour compliance.
- Strong understanding of Indian labour laws and statutory compliance.
- Ability to work effectively with plant leadership and a diverse workforce.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills are essential.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict-resolution capabilities.
- Mature, proactive, and solution-oriented approach.

Qualification MBA / PGDM in Human Resources, MSW, or equivalent qualification.

Experience

10–15 years of relevant HR experience, preferably in manufacturing, engineering, automotive, industrial, or other large workforce environments.

Preferred Experience

- HR Business Partnering in a plant or manufacturing environment.
- Employee Relations and workmen management.
- Statutory compliance and Indian labour laws.
- Managing HR responsibilities for a large workforce.
- Exposure to Industrial Relations will be an added advantage.
