Job Objective To lead and manage the complete Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic and Utility Maintenance activities of the plant and ensure maximum machine availability, minimum breakdowns, safe operation and uninterrupted production.

Key Machinery & Equipment The Maintenance Head will be responsible for maintenance of the following major equipment:

- Forging Hammers
- Forging Press Machines
- Trimming Machines
- Shot Blasting Machines
- CNC Machines
- VMC Machines
- Hydraulic & Pneumatic SystemsElectrical Panels, Motors, Drives and Control Systems
- Water Coolers and Plant Utility Equipment
- Pumps, Compressors and other supporting utilities

Key Responsibilities A. Machine Maintenance

- Plan and control Preventive Maintenance (PM), Predictive Maintenance (PDM) and Breakdown Maintenance.
- Ensure maximum machine availability and minimum breakdown time.
- Monitor maintenance of forging hammers, presses, trimming machines, shot blasting, CNC and VMC machines.
- Identify recurring breakdowns and implement permanent corrective actions.
- Maintain machine history, breakdown records and maintenance records.
- Ensure proper spare parts planning and availability.

B. Forging & Press Shop Maintenance

- Handle maintenance of forging hammers, presses, trimming machines and related hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
- Monitor lubrication systems, bearings, gearboxes, pumps, cylinders, valves and other critical components.
- Reduce breakdowns and improve machine MTBF and MTTR.
- Coordinate with Production for planned maintenance shutdowns.

C. CNC / VMC Maintenance

- Ensure preventive and breakdown maintenance of CNC and VMC machines.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic problems.
- Monitor spindle,



servo, coolant, lubrication and control systems.
- Coordinate with machine OEM/service providers for major repairs.

D. Utility & Facility Maintenance Ensure proper functioning and maintenance of:

- Water coolers
- Air compressors
- Pumps
- Cooling systems
- Electrical systems
- Plant utilities

Maintain uninterrupted utility supply for production. E. Maintenance Planning & Control

- Prepare monthly/weekly Preventive Maintenance Schedule.
- Monitor PM compliance.
- Prepare annual maintenance plans and shutdown plans.
- Develop critical spare-parts inventory.
- Control maintenance cost without compromising machine reliability.
- Analyse breakdown trends and prepare corrective/preventive action plans.

F. Team Management

- Lead and supervise maintenance engineers, supervisors, electricians, fitters and technicians.
- Allocate manpower according to shift requirements.
- Conduct skill development and technical training for maintenance personnel.
- Ensure proper shift handover and maintenance communication.

G. Safety & Compliance

- Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out safely.
- Implement LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures.
- Ensure proper PPE and secure working practices.
- Maintain electrical and mechanical safety standards.
- Ensure compliance with company safety, statutory and audit requirements.

H. Continuous Improvement

- Implement Kaizen, TPM and maintenance improvement projects.
- Improve MTBF and reduce MTTR.
- Identify energy-saving and cost-reduction opportunities.




- Improve machine reliability and productivity.
- Support Production, Quality and Engineering teams for process improvement.

Qualification

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech. in Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronics Engineering.
- Experience in automobile / auto-component manufacturing, preferably in forging and machining plants.
- Strong practical knowledge of forging, press, trimming, shot blasting, CNC and VMC machinery maintenance.

Experience 10-15 years or more of relevant maintenance experience in an automobile / auto-component manufacturing environment, with strong exposure to forging and machining operations.

Critical Requirement The candidate should have hands-on experience in maintenance of forging hammers, forging presses, trimming machines, shot blasting machines, CNC and VMC machines, along with the ability to independently manage the complete maintenance function of an automobile component manufacturing plant.
