Role & responsibilities
1. Design and develop precision grinding machines for the machine tool industry, considering
factors such as performance, reliability, cost, and manufacturability.
1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, electrical engineering, and
quality assurance, to ensure the successful execution of machine design projects.
1. Conduct feasibility studies and provide technical recommendations for current grinding machine
concepts, enhancements, or modifications.
1. Utilize computer-aided design SOLIDWORKS (CAD) software and other engineering tools to
create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and engineering drawings.
1. Perform engineering calculations, simulations, and analyses to validate the design integrity,
performance, and safety of grinding machines.
1. Specify and select appropriate materials, components, and subsystems for the construction of
grinding machines, considering factors such as cost,
availability, and performance requirements.
1. Collaborate with suppliers to evaluate and source machine components, ensuring compliance
with technical specifications and quality standards.
1. Participate in design reviews, prototype testing, and troubleshooting activities to identify and
resolve design issues, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality machines.
1. Support the manufacturing team during the production phase, addressing design-related
queries and providing guidance to ensure smooth production and assembly of grinding machines.
