IT for Change (ITfC) is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to end digital inequality and advance just, equitable, and people-led digital futures for the Global South.

ITfC works through three strategic program areas: Gender and Digital Empowerment, Public EdTech, and Just Digital Governance. Across these program areas, ITfC builds community-owned digital models, shapes public discourse on digital rights, and strengthens the capacity of public institutions and civil society to design more accountable, inclusive digital ecosystems.

We are twenty-six years old, and as we enter our next phase of growth, we are looking for a Partnerships and Fundraising Lead to help strengthen and diversify our funding base and build long-term partnerships with funders who share our vision. This is a unique opportunity to shape the fundraising strategy of a mission-driven organization at a pivotal moment in its growth.

Role

This is a energetic, multifaceted role focused on fundraising, impact documentation, and event support for an NGO in its growth phase. It bridges the gap between the organization’s long-term vision and the daily programmatic and operational management required to achieve it. The person will be responsible for strengthening the organization’s resource mobilization efforts through institutional fundraising, donor engagement, partnerships, and strategic communication.

The role requires building long-term relationships with donors and partners while aligning fundraising efforts with the organization’s mission, programs, and growth priorities.

Key Responsibilities

01: Grant Management & Resource Mobilization

- Identify and pursue funding opportunities from CSR funders, foundations and trusts, institutional donors,



philanthropic individuals, and grant-making agencies.
- Build and maintain a robust fundraising pipeline, monitor pipeline health and key risks, to achieve fundraising goals.
- Work with internal teams to develop concept notes, grant proposals, donor presentations, impact stories, and design strategic fundraising campaigns.
- Track grant timelines, compliance requirements, and donor commitment.

02: Donor Relations & Engagement

- Build and nurture relationships with existing and prospective donors, including foundations, corporate social responsibility (CSR) teams, and high-net-worth individuals.
- Organize donor meetings, field visits, and presentations.
- Collaborate with finance and program teams to track fund usage and deliver clear progress reports to donors.

03: Ecosystem Engagement

- Monitor trends across the philanthropic, CSR, and funding ecosystem to identify emerging opportunities and potential risks/challenges to inform fundraising strategy.
- Represent the organization in strategic forums, donor events, and ecosystem platforms to strengthen organizational visibility and build strategic partnerships.

04: Cross-functional Collaboration

- Support cross-functional planning and decision-making by working closely across support and program teams, and improving organizational workflows.
- Help execute both intimate and large-scale events, including conferences, roundtables, and stakeholder meetings,



to strategically position the organization and its thought leadership.

Core Competencies

- Network building and stakeholder management: Engaging public, private, and civil society stakeholders to create long-term collaborations.
- Project management and planning: Managing reporting pipelines, budgets, and compliance regulations for grants and funding.
- Communication and storytelling: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively represent the organization in donor and ecosystem engagements.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align cross-functional teams towards shared outcomes.

Desired Qualifications

- 6–8 years of relevant experience in fundraising, partnerships, donor management, or CSR engagement
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Development Studies, Management, Communications, Public Policy, or related fields
- Prior experience in the development sector
- Understanding of CSR, donor ecosystems in India, global grants, and FCRA compliance
- Deep commitment to feminist values and an inclusive workplace culture
- High level of fluency in both written and verbal English required. Proficiency in Kannada & Hindi is an added advantage.
