Description UST is seeking a hands-on AI Lead to shape and deliver next-generation AI solutions for complex real-world problems. The role focuses on classical ML, Generative AI, and Agentic AI systems, with an emphasis on production-grade intelligent automation.

Role: Lead I - ML Engineering

Location: Trivandrum

Experience

- 6+ years of industry experience in AI/ML solutions
- Experience leading and delivering multiple large-scale AI projects from idea to production
- Proven track record across diverse domains
- Strong analytical mindset for ambiguous, high-impact problems in quick-paced environments

Qualification

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- Master's degree preferred
- PhD preferred

Responsibilities

- Lead the design, execution, and delivery of complex AI initiatives from problem framing and architecture to production rollout
- Provide technical leadership in ML, Deep Learning, NLP, Generative AI, and Agentic AI
- Architect AI-powered automation solutions using predictive models, LLMs, and agent-based workflows
- Evaluate emerging AI trends, tools, and research and apply them to real-world use cases
- Build, mentor, and inspire AI teams with technical direction, code/design reviews, and career guidance
- Work with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to identify AI opportunities and define solution roadmaps
- Ensure solution accuracy,



robustness, scalability, and observability through MLOps and continuous monitoring
- Contribute to enterprise AI strategy, capability building, and long-term roadmaps

Additional Responsibilities

- Translate cutting-edge research into production-grade systems
- Drive intelligent automation, decision intelligence, and autonomous systems
- Support seamless integration into enterprise systems
