Business Analyst –

- Core Banking / BFSI

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Technology, Finance, or a related discipline

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with a strong background in Core Banking solutions and the BFSI domain. The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams, translating business requirements into functional solutions while ensuring successful implementation and delivery of banking products and services.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis &

Requirements Gathering

- Engage with clients and stakeholders to understand business objectives, challenges, and functional requirements.
- Gather, analyze, validate, and document business, functional, and technical requirements.
- Prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS), user stories, process flows, and use cases.
- Conduct gap analysis and recommend process improvements and solution enhancements.

Core Banking Domain Expertise

- Work extensively on Core Banking modules, including CASA, Deposits, Lending, Payments, and Digital Channels.
- Provide domain expertise during solution design, implementation, and integration activities.
- Support product enhancements and business transformation initiatives within banking environments.

Stakeholder Management

- Collaborate with business users, product owners, project managers, developers, testers, and external stakeholders.
- Facilitate workshops, requirement walkthroughs, and solution discussions.




- Coordinate with multiple stakeholders for business case preparation, effort estimation, and project planning.

Documentation &

- Process Management

- Prepare detailed functional specifications, process workflows, data mapping documents, and API documentation.
- Maintain project documentation using tools such as Confluence and Jira.
- Ensure requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle.

Testing &

- Quality Assurance

- Support test strategy creation, test case preparation, execution, and defect validation.
- Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and ensure successful business validation.
- Work closely with QA teams to verify that solutions meet business requirements.

Proposal &

- Client Engagement

- Assist in preparing business proposals, solution responses, and RFP/RFI documentation.
- Deliver client presentations, product demonstrations, and solution walkthroughs.
- Support pre-sales and consulting initiatives related to banking solutions.

Data Analysis &

- Reporting

- Analyze business and operational data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop actionable insights and recommendations for stakeholders.




- Monitor solution performance and suggest optimization strategies.

Required Skills &

- Experience

- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the Banking, Financial Services, or FinTech domain.
- Hands-on experience with a Core Banking platform such as Finacle, Oracle FLEXCUBE, Finastra, Temenos, or similar solutions.
- Strong understanding of banking operations, products, and processes.
- Experience in modules such as CASA, Deposits, Lending, Payments, and Channels.
- Proven expertise in BRD, FRS, user stories, process flows, API documentation, and requirement management.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, and Agile project delivery methodologies.
- Knowledge of REST APIs, integrations, and digital banking ecosystems.
- Solid analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel based on project requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in Corporate Banking, Treasury, Wealth Management, or Islamic Banking.
- Knowledge of Open Banking concepts, APIs, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Familiarity with UML, BPMN, and business process modeling techniques.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Understanding of banking regulations, compliance, and risk management frameworks.

Preferred Certifications

- CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, Agile Business Analyst, or equivalent certifications are desirable.
