Lab Technician – Electronics & Mobile/Laptop Repair Training

Job Summary

We are looking for a Lab Technician to manage and support our Electronics, Mobile Phone Repair, and Laptop Repair Training Laboratory. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining lab equipment, preparing practical sessions, assisting trainers and students, and ensuring that all tools and equipment are available and functioning properly.

The ideal candidate should have practical knowledge of electronics equipment, mobile/laptop repair tools, soldering and basic troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare the laboratory for daily practical training sessions.
- Assist trainers during electronics, mobile repair, and laptop repair classes.
- Set up tools, equipment, components, PCBs, mobile boards, laptop parts, and practical kits.
- Issue and collect laboratory tools and equipment for students.
- Demonstrate the basic usage of laboratory equipment when required.
- Maintain and organize electronics components, spare parts, tools, and consumables.
- Check the working condition of multimeters, DC power supplies, soldering stations, hot-air stations, oscilloscopes, microscopes, and other equipment.
- Assist students during practical exercises and troubleshooting activities.
- Support students with soldering, desoldering, component identification, PCB inspection, and basic testing.
- Assist in mobile phone and laptop dismantling and reassembly practicals.
- Identify damaged or malfunctioning laboratory equipment and report it to the concerned person.
- Maintain laboratory cleanliness, safety, and proper organization.
- Maintain stock registers and records of tools, equipment, components, and consumables.
- Monitor proper handling of laboratory equipment by students.
- Ensure electrical and laboratory safety procedures are followed.




- Support trainers in preparing practical assignments and demonstrations.
- Maintain records of equipment maintenance and repairs.
- Assist with procurement requirements for laboratory tools and components.

Required Skills
- Basic to good knowledge of Electronics and Electrical components.
- Practical knowledge of electronic testing equipment.
- Knowledge of soldering and desoldering.
- Basic knowledge of mobile phone and laptop hardware.
- Ability to identify electronic components and basic circuit sections.
- Basic PCB troubleshooting knowledge.
- Positive organizational and equipment-management skills.
- Ability to work with students and trainers.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Responsible handling of technical equipment and laboratory materials.

Educational Qualification
- ITI / Diploma in Electronics, Electrical, ECE, EEE, or related field.
- Candidates with relevant practical experience in electronics repair may also be considered.

Candidates with hands-on experience in electronics, mobile phone repair, laptop repair, PCB handling, soldering, and laboratory equipment maintenance are preferred.
