About the Role

We’re looking for an editor who is early in their career and wants to get seriously positive at editing Reels and YouTube Shorts.

You don't need years of experience. You do need a good editing foundation, curiosity about why an edit works, and the ability to think beyond the reference given to you.

You’ll work alongside our creative team, edit across different brands and formats, receive regular feedback, and gradually take greater ownership of the work you produce.

Responsibilities

- Edit Reels, YouTube Shorts and other short-form video formats.
- Understand the brief, audience and purpose of a video before getting into the edit.
- Make editing choices around story, pace and viewer attention instead of simply recreating references.
- Work with the creative team to improve ideas and execution.
- Use motion, sound design and visual effects where they genuinely improve the video.
- Take feedback well and improve your work across projects.
- Take responsibility for timelines and the quality of work assigned to you.
- Contribute as a dependable member of the editing team as your skills grow.

Must Have

- Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro or DaVinci Resolve.
- A portfolio or links that show your actual editing ability.
- A basic understanding of storytelling, pacing and short-form video.
- Comfortable working with motion graphics, SFX and basic visual effects as part of an edit.
- Willingness to learn, take feedback and improve quickly.
- A reliable system suitable for professional video editing.

This role requires professional desktop editing software. Mobile-only editing experience will not qualify.

Good to Have

- Working knowledge of After Effects.
- Understanding of design, typography and visual composition.
- Familiarity with current Reels and YouTube Shorts editing styles.
- Personal editing projects, experimental work or self-initiated videos.
- Own System of Editing
