Role Summary

Design and implement production-quality microservices and API endpoints for the SCF platform. Owns the end-to-end delivery of assigned microservice features from domain models and API design through to unit testing, integration, and sprint acceptance. Works across Java/Spring Boot backend and Angular frontend as required.

Responsibilities

- Design and implement assigned microservice features across the 6 core services: Onboarding, Invoice Eligibility, Funding Repayment, Risk Compliance, Accounting Reconciliation, Workflow Exception Management.

- Build RESTful APIs per OpenAPI 3.0 contracts versioned, idempotent, and schema-validated.

- Implement Ka a producers and consumers for event-driven inter-service communication.

- Design and implement data models in PostgreSQL schema design, migrations (Flyway/Liquibase), and query optimization.

- Implement Redis caching for idempotency keys and session management.

- Write unit and integration tests targeting > 80% coverage (JUnit 5, Mockito, Testcontainers).

- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and sprint ceremonies.

- Resolve SAST findings (Snyk/Checkmarx) within sprint cycle.

- Contribute to API catalog documentation and integration stubs.

Required Skills and Experience





- 5+ years of software development with 3+ years in Java/Spring Boot microservices, including at least 1 banking, fintech, or financial services platform delivery.

- Robust Java proficiency: Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Data JPA, Spring Cloud.

- Experience with Ka a (producers, consumers, DLQ patterns) and event-driven architecture.

- Proficiency with PostgreSQL schema design, JPA/Hibernate, and query optimization.

- Experience with Redis for caching and idempotency patterns.

- Solid understanding of REST API design, OpenAPI 3.0, and API versioning.

- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes deployment of microservices.

- Proficiency with JUnit 5, Mockito, and integration testing with Testcontainers.

- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or GitLab CI).

- Understanding bank-grade control requirements: audit trails, maker-checker, idempotency, and data integrity.

Nice to Have

- Angular development experience for full-stack feature delivery.

- Experience with Camunda or Temporal workflow engines.

- Knowledge of Saga pattern and distributed transaction management.
