Role Description The Interior Designer role at Aura Interior & Construction is a full-time, on-site position based in Imphal.

The Interior

Designer will develop design concepts, prepare layout plans, and work on space planning to meet client requirements and project constraints. Daily responsibilities include creating mood boards, selecting materials and finishes, coordinating FF&E;, and producing or reviewing construction and detail drawings in collaboration with the architecture and construction teams. The role involves meeting clients to understand needs, presenting design proposals, and making revisions based on feedback.

The Interior





Designer will also coordinate with vendors and site teams to ensure design intent is accurately executed, monitor project progress, and support quality control throughout the construction and installation phases.

Qualifications

- Strong Interior Design and Space Planning skills, with the ability to create functional, aesthetically cohesive layouts.
- Knowledge of Architecture and Construction Drawings, including the ability to read, interpret, and coordinate design details with project teams.
- Experience with FF&E; (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) selection, specification, and coordination to align with design concepts and budgets.
- Proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar), and comfort with basic MS Office tools.
- Relevant diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field, with prior on-site project experience preferred.
- Strong visual communication, presentation, and client interaction skills, with attention to detail and organization.
- Ability to work on-site in Imphal, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and manage multiple projects within deadlines.
