Informatica Developer

Role Summary

We are seeking an Informatica Developer to join our Data Engineering team. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of hands-on experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines using Informatica, solid SQL skills, and working knowledge of Google BigQuery and Shell scripting.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and maintain ETL/ELT workflows using Informatica PowerCenter and/or Informatica Cloud.

- Author complex and optimized SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, validation, reconciliation, and reporting.

- Integrate and process data in Google BigQuery and support data warehousing activities.

- Develop and maintain Shell scripts to automate data processing, job orchestration, and operational tasks.

- Perform data mapping, transformations, data quality checks, and ensure data consistency across multiple source systems.

- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to ETL workflows, data pipelines, job failures, and data quality incidents.

- Perform performance tuning and optimization of ETL mappings, workflows, and SQL queries.

- Collaborate with Data Engineers, Data Architects, Analysts, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver scalable data solutions.

- Create and maintain clear technical documentation for ETL processes, data flows, and operational runbooks.

Requirements





- 5+ years of professional experience in Informatica development (PowerCenter and/or Informatica Cloud).

- Strong hands-on SQL skills including complex joins, subqueries, CTEs, window functions, aggregations, and query optimization.

- Practical experience working with Google BigQuery or similar cloud data warehouses.

- Proven experience with Shell scripting for automation and operational tasks.

- Solid understanding of ETL/ELT concepts, data integration patterns, and data warehousing principles.

- Familiarity with relational databases and data modeling concepts.

- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.

- Ability to work independently in a remote environment and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.

- Good communication skills for working with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have

- Experience with other GCP services (Dataflow, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub) or multi-cloud environments.

- Knowledge of dimensional modeling and data modeling best practices.

- Experience with ETL scheduling, orchestration, and monitoring tools (e.g., Airflow, Control-M, Autosys).

- Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD practices for data pipelines.

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.

- Informatica certification(s) or cloud platform certifications.
