Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented InDesign Paginator with 12 years of experience in pagination and typesetting. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Adobe InDesign and a positive understanding of page layout, formatting, and publishing workflows. The candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality, accurate, and consistent layouts while meeting project timelines and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform pagination and typesetting of books, journals, magazines, reports, and other publishing content using Adobe InDesign.
- Create and format page layouts according to design specifications, templates, and client requirements.
- Apply paragraph styles, character styles, master pages, templates, tables, images, headers, footers, and page numbering.
- Ensure consistency in fonts, spacing, alignment, margins, styles, and overall page layout.
- Incorporate editorial corrections and client revisions accurately.
- Review paginated files and identify formatting, layout, pagination, and typographical errors.
- Prepare final files and export documents in PDF and other required formats.
- Follow project-specific style guides, publishing standards, and quality procedures.
- Coordinate with editorial, production,



and quality teams to resolve layout-related issues.
- Manage assigned projects and deliver high-quality work within defined deadlines.

Required Skills

- Adobe InDesign Mandatory
- Strong knowledge of Pagination & Typesetting
- Good understanding of Page Layout & Formatting
- Knowledge of Paragraph Styles, Character Styles & Master Pages
- Understanding of Typography and Page Composition
- Knowledge of PDF and Adobe Acrobat
- Basic knowledge of MS Word
- Good proofreading and quality-checking skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work within tight deadlines

Preferred Skills

- Experience in publishing, academic/STM, e-learning, or digital content production.
- Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Understanding of print and digital publishing workflows.

Eligibility

- 12 years of relevant experience in Adobe InDesign pagination/typesetting.
- Any bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Candidates with relevant experience in publishing or content production will be preferred.
- Good communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
