About the Role The Manager - HR will develop and implement the overall HR strategy aligned with the City Palace's institutional vision, business priorities, and long-term growth plans.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the overall HR strategy aligned with the City Palace's institutional vision, business priorities, and long-term growth plans.
- Build the organisation structure, manpower plan, and talent strategy across museum, heritage, hospitality, retail, events, security, works, technology, finance, and corporate functions.
- Lead the full employee lifecycle covering workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, development, engagement, retention, and separation.
- Build a strong leadership and middle-management pipeline and support senior management in identifying, hiring, and developing high-quality talent.
- Develop and implement robust HR policies, manuals, SOPs, and systems covering recruitment, leave, attendance, performance, compensation, conduct, grievance handling, and employee relations.
- Establish a transparent performance-management framework with clear KPIs, KRAs, appraisal cycles, and accountability mechanisms.
- Review compensation structures, salary bands, job levels, and benefits to ensure internal equity, market competitiveness, and organisational affordability.
- Develop learning and development programmes across leadership, hospitality, visitor experience, technical skills, heritage, safety, and functional capabilities.
- Build a culture centred on professionalism, service excellence, accountability, integrity, and respect for the City's heritage and institutional values.
- Lead employee engagement, internal communication, feedback, and grievance-resolution mechanisms.
- Oversee HR operations for outsourced and contracted workforce, including vendor governance, manpower deployment,
statutory compliance, and service standards.
- Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws, employment regulations, statutory requirements, and organisational policies.
- Strengthen HR technology, HRMS, attendance, payroll, employee records, and management-information systems.
- Change management.

Qualifications
- 8 + years of progressive HR experience, with substantial experience leading the HR function of a complex organisation.
- Postgraduate qualification in Human Resources, Personnel Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in organisational design, talent acquisition, performance management, compensation, and HR operations.
- Robust understanding of Indian labour laws, employee relations, statutory compliance, and outsourced workforce management.
- Experience managing both professional and large operational/frontline workforces.
- Demonstrated ability to build HR systems and processes in organisations undergoing growth or transformation.
- Strong business understanding with the ability to connect people strategy to organisational and commercial outcomes.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills.
- High integrity, discretion, and maturity in handling sensitive employee and institutional matters.
- Experience in hospitality, museums, heritage, cultural institutions, luxury, tourism, or other service-led organisations would be an advantage.
