Job Title:Human Resources Associate (Driver Management)
Department: Human Resources / Fleet Operations
Location: Tauru Hub
Employment Type: Full-Time Permanent
We are seeking a strategic and operational HR Person to lead our human resources initiatives, with a specialized focus on Driver Management. You will oversee the complete employee lifecycle, develop HR policies, and serve as a trusted advisor to leadership. A significant portion of this role is dedicated to ensuring our fleet operates safely and efficiently by hiring quality drivers, managing their welfare, and maintaining strict safety and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Driver Hiring & Training: Lead the recruitment process to ensure high-quality driver hiring. Coordinate effectively with external vendors and plan comprehensive training programs.
- Leave Management & Utilization:Ensure the optimum utilization of drivers through proper leave management and attendance tracking. Implement strategies to maintain a low attrition rate and ensure 100% compliance with scheduling.
- Driver Retention & Welfare: Champion driver-centric activities to establish the company as a "best place to work." Oversee driver welfare, including stay arrangements, health, medical needs, and overall well-being to meet a 90% retention target.
- Safety & Discipline:Ensure all drivers receive safety, defensive driving, and skills training.
Enforce a strict code of conduct (including zero tolerance for alcohol consumption) and oversee regular vehicle health checkups to ensure safe vehicle movement.
Core HR Functions:
1. Employee Relations:Serve as the primary point of contact for employee concerns, address grievances, mediate workplace conflicts, and foster a positive, inclusive work environment.
2. Policy: Compliance: Develop, update, and communicate HR policies. Ensure total compliance with local, state, and federal labor laws and regulations.
3. Compensation & Perks: Administer payroll, compensation plans, and employee benefits programs.
4. Performance Management: Oversee performance review processes, provide coaching to managers, and develop performance improvement plans.
5. HR Administration: Manage HR information systems, maintain accurate employee records, and generate data-driven reports for senior leadership.
Qualifications & Skills:
1. Bachelors degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master & preferred).
2. Proven experience as an HR associate, with strong preference given to
candidates with experience in logistics, transportation, or fleet management.
1. In-depth knowledge of labor laws, compliance requirements, and HR best practices.
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast- paced environment.
