About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Hospitality Accountant with hands-on experience in accounting and financial operations within the hotel, hospitality or travel industry. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of hotel revenue, room revenue, food and beverage accounting, daily revenue reconciliation, cash management, AP, AR, inventory, General Ledger and financial reporting.

Experience supporting US hotels, hospitality groups or international hospitality clients will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage accounting activities for hotels, resorts or hospitality entities.
- Record and reconcile room, food & beverage and other operating revenues.
- Perform daily revenue and Night Audit reconciliations.
- Reconcile PMS and POS data with accounting records.
- Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities.
- Perform bank, cash, credit card and revenue reconciliations.
- Monitor guest deposits and outstanding balances.
- Support hotel inventory and Food & Beverage cost accounting.
- Analyze departmental revenue and operating expenses.
- Prepare Journal Entries, Accruals and accounting adjustments.
- Prepare departmental P&L; and management reports.
- Support hotel budgeting and forecasting.
- Perform revenue and expense variance analysis.
- Support Month-End, Quarter-End and Year-End Close.




- Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies.
- Coordinate with hotel Operations, Front Office, F&B;, Procurement and Finance teams.
- Support audit requirements and internal controls.
- Support process improvement initiatives related to hospitality accounting.

Key Software Microsoft Excel, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, M3, OPERA, Micros, Infor, Sage, QuickBooks, Power BI; experience with other hotel management, POS, ERP or accounting systems will also be considered.

Qualifications & Skills

- B.Com / M.Com / MBA Finance / Accounting or a related field.
- CA, CPA, CMA, ACCA or relevant professional qualification preferred.
- 3-8 years of relevant Hospitality / Hotel Accounting experience.
- Solid knowledge of hotel revenue and daily revenue reconciliation.
- Experience with Night Audit, AP, AR and General Ledger.
- Knowledge of F&B; accounting, inventory and cost control preferred.
- Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills.
- Excellent analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with hotel PMS / POS or accounting systems preferred.
- Experience supporting US or international hospitality clients preferred.
