Reporting To - CEO / Management

Immediate Supervisor - CEO

Number of Direct Reportees - 1 direct + 6 indirect (as per reference JD format)

Objective of the Role

Ensure 100% inspection of incoming raw materials, in-process quality control, and outgoing dispatches through strong quality management systems and documentation, resulting in zero defect, customer satisfaction, and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities of the Role

Accountability

- Develop, modify, review, and control quality checklists, inspection formats, and quality plans.
- Ensure products are built as per quality standards and approved quality procedures.
- Ensure adherence to SOPs, QMS requirements, and statutory / regulatory compliance.
- Approve test certificates, inspection certificates, and related quality documents before dispatch.
- Ensure complete job files and folders are available with all relevant documents at the time of final documentation and dispatch.
- Plan and conduct Pre-FAT / FAT with clients and ensure closure of FAT deviations.
- Deploy, monitor, and train employees on QMS and quality discipline.
- Ensure zero-defect orientation and strong customer satisfaction through robust quality control systems.

Responsibility - Exclusive / Primary

- Ensure documentation is accurate and in line with job progress.
- Prepare inspection calendar in coordination with Projects and Production.
- Ensure systems are properly tested before FAT and FAT deviations are addressed through retrial and closure.
- Coordinate with Design for quality improvement and design-related quality concerns.
- Develop in-process quality standards and checkpoints.
- Conduct internal quality audits on quarterly basis for plant and vendors.
- Conduct supplier quality audits, supplier evaluation, and vendor assessment.
- Deploy statistical process control and monitor quality performance trends.

Responsibility - Routine / Secondary





- Coordinate with Purchase and Production for JIT delivery and inward quality checks of incoming raw materials.
- Ensure all checking and measuring instruments are available, calibrated, and available during FAT and inspection activities.
- Ensure relevant national and international standards are available for reference.
- Ensure timely collection of all certificates, validation documents, and inspection records for materials and jobs.
- Monitor quality deviations and deploy corrective and preventive actions.
- Conduct and monitor QMS training for employees.
- Ensure stage-wise inspection calls are planned, issued, and attended on time.

Display - Knowledge, Experience

Education Qualification

B.E. / B.Tech Mechanical preferred; quality-related certifications will be an advantage.

Overall Experience

8 to 12 years of relevant experience in QA/QC in similar engineering / manufacturing industry with good English communication and computer proficiency.

Mandatory Experience

Conversant with ISO norms, QMS deployment, quality documentation, MS Office, AutoCAD basics, inspection records, test certificates, calibration certificates, filing systems, and job-wise documentation control.
