Position Overview

- Role: GNM Staff Nurse / Industrial Nurse

- Department: Occupational Health &
- Safety / Medical Center (Forbes Marshall Medicare)

- Location: Chakan Industrial Area, Pune, Maharashtra

- Qualification required: Diploma in GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) with valid MNC (Maharashtra Nursing Council) registration

Key Responsibilities

1.

First

Aid &

- Emergency Care

- Provide immediate first aid and acute nursing care for workplace injuries, minor illness, or medical emergencies on the factory floor.

- Administer primary medication, dressing, and emergency interventions under the guidance of the Visiting/Occupational Health Medical Officer (IMO/Doctor).

- Assist in ambulance management and arrange swift transport/referrals to empaneled tertiary hospitals for reliable cases.

2.

Occupational

Health &

- Wellness

- Assist in conducting Pre-employment and Periodic Medical Examinations (PME) for factory employees and contract workers.

- Maintain comprehensive electronic/physical health records, medical histories, and injury logs for statutory compliance (e.g., Factories Act requirements).

- Conduct baseline health checks (blood pressure, blood glucose, BMI, vision testing, audiometry, spirometry assistance).

3. OPD &

- Pharmacy Operations

- Manage daily OPD consultations,



routine vitals monitoring, and basic treatment dispensing.

- Maintain inventory of pharmaceuticals, emergency medicines, medical equipment, and first-aid kits across factory floors.

- Ensure proper disposal of Biomedical Waste (BMW) as per MPCB guidelines.

4. Safety, Training &

- Compliance

- Train factory safety marshals, first-aiders, and shop-floor workers on basic first aid, CPR, and workplace health safety.

- Participate in factory safety committee meetings, health audits, and wellness awareness drives (e.g., ergonomics, hygiene, lifestyle diseases).

- Maintain statutory logs including Form 17/Register of Accident Cases and medical fitness records.

Key Competencies &

- Requirements

- Experience: 1 to 5 years in an Industrial/Occupational Health Center (OHC) or hospital casualty/emergency ward.

- Certifications: Valid Maharashtra Nursing Council (MNC) Registration
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred.

- Technical Skills: Triage handling, wound management, vitals monitoring, inventory maintenance, and basic MS Office/Excel skills for health data entry.

- Languages: Working knowledge of Marathi (essential for worker interaction), Hindi, and basic English.
