Role Description: WoWF seeks an experienced Fundraising Consultant to lead and grow its resource mobilisation. The primary focus of the role is fundraising — designing and executing a diversified fundraising strategy, opening and converting recent funding relationships, and securing sustainable, multi-year income across institutional, corporate (CSR), and individual donor channels. The consultant is accountable for meeting agreed fundraising targets and for building a healthy, well-documented donor pipeline that WoWF can sustain beyond the engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Fundraising strategy and pipeline
- Develop and drive a diversified annual fundraising strategy and costed action plan aligned to WoWF's programme budgets and funding gaps.
- Build, maintain and actively manage a prospect pipeline across institutional grants, corporate CSR,
foreign donors, foundations, HNIs and individual giving.
- Set quarterly and annual fundraising targets by channel and track conversion from prospect to committed funding.
Institutional grants and foundations
- Identify and research relevant grant opportunities from foundations, bilateral/multilateral agencies and trusts.
- Prepare high-quality concept notes, proposals, budgets and logframes; manage submission timelines and follow-up.
- Coordinate grant reporting and compliance requirements with the programme and finance teams to protect renewals.
Corporate partnerships and CSR
- Map and approach companies whose CSR priorities (education, disability inclusion, child development, refugee support) align with WoWF's programmes under Schedule VII of the Companies Act, 2013.
- Develop compelling CSR proposals, pitch decks and partnership concept notes; negotiate and formalise MoUs.
- Cultivate long-term corporate relationships, including employee engagement, payroll giving and cause partnerships.
Individual giving and campaigns
- Design and run individual-giving, digital and crowdfunding campaigns, including online donation and UPI-based giving.
- Grow recurring donors and sponsorship (child / teacher sponsorship) and improve donor acquisition and retention rates.
Donor stewardship and systems
- Establish disciplined donor stewardship — timely acknowledgements, 80G receipts,
impact updates and thank-you communication.
- Set up or strengthen a simple donor database / CRM and maintain accurate records of all donor interactions and commitments.
- Contribute to fundraising collateral — case for support, annual report inputs, brochures and campaign content.
Qualifications & Experience
- Postgraduate degree in social work, development, management, communications or a related field.
- Minimum [7–10] years of proven fundraising / resource-mobilisation experience in the non-profit sector, with a demonstrable track record of securing institutional, CSR and foreign funding.
- Direct experience writing successful grant proposals and CSR pitches and closing partnerships.
- Working knowledge of CSR (Section 135 / Schedule VII) and 80G / 12A frameworks.
- Established networks among foundations, corporates, CSR heads and donor agencies are strongly preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Persuasive written and verbal communication
- Proposal and budget development
- Relationship-building and negotiation
- Target-driven and results-oriented
- Donor research and prospecting
- CRM / donor database discipline
- Integrity and compliance orientation
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
