Role Summary The Fleet Operator will be responsible for monitoring fleet assets, reviewing and validating telematics solution performance, managing overdue and recovery cases, coordinating repossessions, and ensuring timely resolution of operational escalations. The role requires close coordination with internal teams and external recovery partners to safeguard company assets.
The role also requires occasional night-shift coverage and escalation handling outside standard business hours.
Key Responsibilities
Credit and Asset risk management
- Monitor fleet asset health, vehicle status, and location visibility through the telematics platform and other internal systems.
- Track overdue cases and coordinate recovery activities with internal teams and external recovery partners.
- Oversee vehicle recovery and repossession workflows end to end, including case assignment, follow-up, documentation, and closure.
- Monitor high-risk cases and initiate timely corrective actions, including customer de-escalation, outreach,
and escalation to recovery teams where required.
- Act as the first point of contact for fleet-related operational escalations.
- Maintain recovery records, incident logs, and case histories, and prepare periodic MIS reports and performance summaries.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, agreed service levels, and case-handling protocols.
IOT solution monitoring
- Review telematics solution performance on a daily basis, including GPS uptime, location accuracy, alert latency, immobiliser response, and data consistency.
- Review telematics exceptions and raise issues to support root-cause analysis.
Process improvement and others
- Make suggestions to improve company processes, operating controls, reporting discipline, and fleet recovery efficiency.
- Contribute to company-building initiatives by identifying operational gaps, improving SOPs, and supporting the design of scalable fleet control processes.
- Perform other duties and operational tasks as assigned to support changing business requirements and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Requirements
- Graduate in any discipline.
- Strong coordination, stakeholder management, problem-solving, team work, interpersonal and and follow-through skills.
- Positive working knowledge of MS Excel, reporting, and structured MIS preparation.
- Ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and a calm, professional approach under pressure.
- Comfortable reviewing telematics dashboards and interpreting fleet alerts, exceptions, and system performance trends.
- Willingness to question anomalies, follow up on unresolved issues, and push for closure.
- Knows how to ride a motorcycle
- Spoken languages: English, Hindi, and Kannada (mandatory).
- Willing to take on new responsibilities and excited to learn.
- Strong sense of accountability, integrity, resilience, and urgency.
