We're Hiring: Field Research & Outreach Associate to Uncover What Schools Actually Need
This isn't a desk job – it's your front-row seat to how education really works in India, spending your days inside real schools, talking to the people who run them.
Why This Role is Different: At Edvation, you won't be sitting behind a screen guessing what customers want – you'll be the person who finds out. You'll walk into schools across Bengaluru, talk to the principals and administrators running them, and bring back the problems nobody has documented yet. What you discover goes straight to the CEO and product team, and shapes what we build next.
Role Details: Position: Field Research & Outreach Associate Location: Bengaluru (Field-based) Type: Full-Time Experience: 0–2 years (fresh graduates welcome)
About Us: Edvation is building technology to make education more accessible, affordable, and available. Over 3 lakh schools in India still run without a proper digitalised system – and we're working to close that gap. But before we build more, we want to deeply understand the problems teachers, students, and school administrators face every day. That's where you come in.
?️ What You'll Do → Visit schools across Bengaluru and meet administrators, principals, coordinators, and staff → Have genuine conversations about the challenges they face running and managing their schools → Map their current workflows, pain points, frustrations, and technology gaps → Document every insight you uncover in the field → Share your findings directly with the CEO and product team → Follow up, dig deeper, and turn scattered observations into patterns worth building for → Spend most of your day out in the real world, not in a meeting room
(And no, we won't let you sweat it out – travel reimbursement is covered, and the snacks are on us.)
✅ What You Bring
Must-Have:
→ 0–2 years of experience in any field – fresh graduates are genuinely welcome → Based in Bengaluru and comfortable travelling across the city regularly → Fluent in Kannada, comfortable communicating in English → Your own 2-wheeler, and no hesitation about using it for field visits → Confidence walking up to people you've never met and starting a conversation → Solid communication and, more importantly, strong listening skills → Real curiosity about how things work – and no shyness about asking the next question → The instinct to take notes, follow up, and chase a half-answer until it makes sense
Nice-to-Have (Bonus Points!): → Any experience in field sales, market research, surveys, or community work → Exposure to the education sector – as a student volunteer, tutor, or otherwise → Comfort with note-taking and documentation tools → Interest in EdTech, startups, or product discovery → Additional languages spoken around Bengaluru
What Matters Most: You don't need to be an expert in education or technology. Whatever's needed, we'll mentor you. We care far more about curiosity, confidence, and your willingness to get on the ground and learn. If you can walk into a school, respectfully start a conversation with an administrator, and come back with three problems we didn't know existed – we'd love to meet you.
