We are looking for an experienced ETL/Data Validation Test Engineer to perform data testing, validation, reconciliation, data quality checks, test automation, and release validation across modern Azure-based data ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform ETL testing and data validation across source, staging, and target systems.
- Develop and execute SQL queries for data validation, reconciliation, and data quality checks.
- Validate data transformations, mappings, business rules, and end-to-end data pipelines.
- Perform source-to-target reconciliation and identify data discrepancies.
- Conduct data quality testing, including completeness, accuracy, consistency, and integrity checks.
- Work with Databricks for data validation and testing of data processing workflows.
- Perform testing across Azure data ecosystems and cloud-based data platforms.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts/frameworks for data and ETL validation.
- Support release validation and production data verification.
Required Skills
- Strong experience in ETL Testing / Data Testing.
- Strong hands-on expertise in SQL.
- Experience with Databricks.
- Good understanding of Azure data platforms and data ecosystems.
- Experience in data reconciliation and data quality testing.
- Knowledge of ETL/data pipeline concepts and data warehouse testing.
- Experience with test automation for data/ETL validation.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF).
- Knowledge of Azure Data Lake/Storage and cloud data warehouses.
- Experience with PySpark or Python for test automation.
- Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps practices.
- Experience testing large-scale data pipelines and distributed data processing systems.
