Roles & Responsibilities

Test Strategy and Planning o Define the end-to-end qualification strategy for system, product, and component-level testing of hardware-firmware integrated products.

o Create test plans, execution schedules, coverage goals, entry/exit criteria, and release-readiness gates aligned with product requirements and delivery milestones.

Requirement Analysis and Test Design o Work with product architects, developers, and stakeholders to analyze system requirements, interfaces, dependencies, and expected product behavior.

o Convert requirements into clear test scenarios, test cases, acceptance criteria, boundary conditions, and negative test coverage.

Validation and Quality Assurance o Develop, adopt, and improve reusable test frameworks for embedded and hardware-firmware validation.

o Validate product functionality, interoperability, performance, robustness, and compliance against defined requirements.

o Apply standard test methodologies, automation practices, and quality metrics to improve test efficiency and product maturity.

Cross-Functional Collaboration o Collaborate with lean, self-organized engineering teams to integrate qualification early into the development lifecycle.

o Drive test readiness, issue triage, debug support, and release-quality reviews across architecture, development, validation, and product teams.

Documentation and Artifact Creation o Own and maintain qualification artifacts including test plans, test cases,



traceability matrices, coverage reports, defect summaries, and test execution reports.

o Ensure documentation is structured, auditable, and suitable for internal reviews, customer readiness, and compliance support.

Defect Management and Reporting o Track, prioritize, and drive defects to closure using standard defect management tools and review mechanisms.

o Define and report test metrics such as requirement coverage, test execution status, pass/fail trends, defect density, defect aging, and release risk.

Education o Bachelors or Masters degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Embedded Systems, or related fields.

Skills Technical o Robust expertise in embedded systems testing, including hardware-software system validation.

o Proven experience in successfully qualifying multiple embedded systems or solution-based products through the complete product lifecycle o Proficiency in testing tools and frameworks for embedded systems o Experience with automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl).

o Hands-on knowledge of hardware interfaces (e.g., UART, SPI, I2C) and debugging tools o Proven track record of independently managing the testing lifecycle and ensuring high-quality deliverables.

o Experience of leading a qualification team of 3-4 members
