The candidate will be responsible for developing, testing, debugging, and maintaining firmware for microcontroller-based electronic systems.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of C/C++ programming, microcontrollers,

communication protocols, sensors, real-time systems, and hardware debugging, along with the ability to troubleshoot issues at both firmware and hardware levels.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, integrate, test, and maintain embedded firmware for microcontroller-based systems.
- Develop firmware using Embedded C/C++.
- Work with microcontrollers such as STM32, NXP, TI.
- Develop and integrate drivers for sensors, peripherals, communication interfaces, and external devices.
- Implement and debug communication protocols including UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, RS232,

RS485, USB, Ethernet, PWM, ADC and GPIO.
- Interface and troubleshoot sensors such as current/voltage sensors, and other peripherals.
- Develop firmware for real-time control, monitoring, data acquisition, and communication applications.
- Perform firmware debugging using JTAG/SWD, debugger, logic analyzer, oscilloscope,

serial terminals, and other tools.
- Troubleshoot hardware–firmware integration issues and identify root causes.
- Analyze communication failures, timing issues, memory issues, watchdog resets, crashes,

and peripheral failures.
- Develop and implement fault detection, diagnostics, logging, and recovery mechanisms.
- Perform unit testing, integration testing, hardware bring-up, and system-level validation.
- Work closely with PCB/hardware engineers during board bring-up and troubleshooting.
- Analyze firmware logs and test data to identify system-level problems.
- Optimize firmware for performance, memory usage, power consumption, and reliability.

- Maintain source code using Git or equivalent version-control systems.
- Prepare firmware documentation, test procedures, troubleshooting reports, and technical specifications.

Required Technical Skills

- 2–4 years of experience in embedded firmware development.
- Strong programming skills in Embedded C/C++.
- Hands-on experience with STM32 or similar microcontrollers.
- Good understanding of microcontroller architecture, interrupts, timers, DMA, ADC, PWM,

GPIO, watchdogs, and memory.
- Solid knowledge of UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, RS232/RS485, USB and Ethernet.
- Experience with RTOS concepts such as tasks/threads, queues, semaphores, mutexes, and timers.
- Experience with debugging tools such as JTAG/SWD, ST-Link, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
- Good understanding of hardware–firmware interaction.
- Experience with Git and structured software development practices.
- Ability to read schematics and understand electronic circuits.

Preferred Skills

- Experience in UAV, robotics, automotive, battery/BMS systems.
- Experience with STM32CubeIDE, STM32CubeMX, Keil, GCC, PlatformIO, or equivalent development environments.
- Experience with FreeRTOS or other RTOS platforms.
- Experience interfacing with IMU, GNSS/GPS, magnetometer, barometer, CAN devices,

ESCs, motors, and actuators.
- Knowledge of MAVLink, UAV communication protocols, or autopilot systems is an advantage.
- Experience with bootloaders, firmware update mechanisms, and OTA/serial firmware updates.
- Basic knowledge of Python or scripting for test automation is an advantage.
- Experience in developing automated hardware-in-loop or bench-testing setups is desirable.

Desired Attributes

- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
- Good understanding of both hardware and firmware.
- Ability to independently diagnose failures using test equipment and logs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Comfortable working on prototype hardware and performing board bring-up.
- Ability to work closely with PCB, mechanical, system, and testing teams.
- Good documentation and communication skills.
