Job Summary:

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Embedded Firmware & Hardware Engineer with 3–7 years of hands-on experience in DSP-based system development. The ideal candidate should have deep expertise in Texas Instruments C6000 and C2000 series processors, multicore architectures, real-time firmware development, and advanced hardware interface design. This role is critical to designing and delivering cutting-edge embedded solutions in the Power Electronics and Automotive domains.

Key Responsibilities:

•Identify appropriate DSP processors and hardware platforms based on application requirements, performance targets, and system constraints.

•Design and develop embedded firmware for TI DSP processors (C6000 & C2000 families), targeting real-time control and signal processing applications.

•Architect and implement solutions for multicore processors, including parallel task scheduling, synchronization, and inter-core communication.

•Develop firmware and board support packages for internal and external peripherals (ADC, DAC, PWM, SPI, UART, I2C, CAN, etc.).

•Take complete ownership of the design, development, and integration process, driving tasks independently from concept to validation.

•Implement high-speed data transfer mechanisms using interfaces such as:

- PCIe (Peripheral Component Interconnect Express)
- EMIF (External Memory Interface)
- EDMA (Enhanced Direct Memory Access)

•Design and integrate inter-processor communication protocols (between DSPs, MCUs, and FPGAs) using shared memory, DMA, and hardware FIFOs. •Collaborate with hardware engineers on schematic design reviews, board bring-up,



and system-level validation.

•Work closely with control and systems teams to integrate real-time control algorithms.

•Perform performance profiling, code/firmware optimization, and system-level debugging.

Required Skills & Experience:

•3–7 years of industry experience in embedded firmware and hardware development.

•Strong proficiency with TI C6000/C2000 DSP architectures, peripherals, and toolchains (Code Composer Studio, TI RTOS, etc.).

•Solid understanding of multicore architectures, parallel processing, and real-time task synchronization.

•Expertise in C/C++ programming for embedded systems.

•Hands-on experience with advanced data transfer interfaces: PCIe, EMIF, EDMA, and high-throughput DMA mechanisms.

•Proven experience with communication protocols: SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, Ethernet.

•Knowledge of bootloaders, firmware update mechanisms, and system diagnostics.

Preferred Qualification:

•Experience in the Power Electronics or Automotive domains (e.g., inverters, motor drives, BMS, converters, traction systems).

•Familiarity with FPGA co-design and FPGA–MCU/DSP interfacing.

•Exposure to Simulink/MATLAB for model-based design and code generation.

•Experience working in ISO 26262, ASIL, or other functional safety environments.

•Valuable knowledge of digital and analog electronics, including board-level debugging and hardware/software integration.

•Familiarity with signal processing, power converter control, or motor drive control applications.

Education:

•Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Embedded Systems, or related fields.
