Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer (Solar , Switchyard, Substation)

Designation: Sr. Engineer/Assistant Manager/Deputy Manager/Manager

Industry: Renewable Energy / Solar & BESS Projects

Experience: 4-10 Years

Qualification: B.Tech in EE /EEE

Role & Responsibilities:

- Lead electrical design and engineering activities for solar ground-mounted and BESS projects.
- Prepare and review SLDs (Switchyard, AC/DC) for complete plant systems.
- Design substations/switchyards up to 220kV including conductor sizing, sag calculations, and short circuit studies.
- Perform system studies using ETAP as per IEC 60909 standards.
- Design earthing systems as per IEEE 80/665 and IS 3043.
- Handle CT/PT sizing, cable sizing, and voltage drop calculations.
- Design and review solar plant electrical systems including transformers, inverters, switchboards, DC systems.
- switchyard layouts, and illumination layouts.
- Prepare BOQ for cables and electrical systems.
- Ensure compliance with CBIP, CEA, IS, IEC, and ANSI/IEEE standards.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, vendors, and internal teams for project execution.
- Support procurement, tendering, and proposal activities including BOP estimation.




- Participate in design reviews and provide technical support during execution.

Required Qualifications:

- B.Tech in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
- 4-10 years of experience in electrical design for solar EPC projects.
- Hands-on experience in ground-mounted solar projects (minimum 50 MW).
- Experience in Substation design, switchyard design up to 220kV.
- Strong knowledge of electrical system design and standards.
- Experience in EPC project environments is essential.
