The EHS Manager will be responsible for implementing and driving Environmental, Health & Safety programs across large-scale Data Centre construction projects. The role will ensure compliance with statutory requirements, AdaniConnex EHS standards, contractor safety management, risk mitigation, incident prevention, and safety culture development to achieve zero harm objectives during project execution.
The incumbent will partner with project teams, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure safe construction practices across Civil, Structural, MEP, Electrical, Mechanical, ELV, Telecom, Testing & Commissioning, and Infrastructure works.
Key Responsibilities
Safety Management
- Implement project EHS management systems, procedures, and standards.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, client, and organizational EHS requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments, Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), HIRA, Method Statement reviews, and Permit-to-Work audits.

- Drive behavioral safety programs and safety culture initiatives.
Contractor Safety Management
- Conduct contractor EHS evaluations and onboarding.
- Review contractor safety plans, manpower competency records, certifications, and training compliance.
- Ensure contractor adherence to AdaniConnex EHS standards.
- Conduct regular contractor performance reviews and safety inspections.
- Monitor and improve contractor safety KPIs.
Site Inspections & Compliance
- Perform routine site safety inspections and audits.
- Identify unsafe acts and unsafe conditions and ensure timely closure.
- Monitor compliance with PPE requirements and safety procedures.
- Ensure implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
Incident Investigation
- Lead incident reporting, investigation, and root cause analysis.
- Prepare investigation reports and corrective action plans.
- Monitor closure of safety observations and incident action items.
- Track and report safety performance metrics.
Emergency Preparedness
- Develop and maintain site emergency response plans.
- Conduct mock drills covering

- Coordinate with external emergency response agencies.
Environmental Management
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and permit conditions.
- Monitor waste management, water management, noise control, air quality, and sustainability initiatives.
- Support implementation of environmental monitoring programs.
- Maintain environmental records and compliance documentation.
Training & Capability Building
- Conduct EHS inductions for employees and contractors.
- Organize toolbox talks, safety campaigns, awareness programs, and specialized trainings.
- Develop competency enhancement programs for contractor workforce.
- Promote safety leadership among supervisors and project managers.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain EHS registers, audit reports, inspection records, permits, and statutory documentation.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly EHS performance reports.
- Develop dashboards for management review.
- Support internal and external audits.

Educational Qualification
Mandatory
- B.E./B.Tech (Any Engineering Discipline)
Preferred
- Diploma / Degree in Industrial Safety
- PG Diploma in Industrial Safety (PDIS)
- Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety
- Environmental Management Qualification
Certifications (Preferred)
- NEBOSH IGC
- IOSH Managing Safely

- Proven experience managing EHS on projects exceeding 500 Cr.
- Experience in hyperscale Data Centre, industrial, power, or mission-critical construction projects.
- Solid exposure to multiple contractors and large workforce management.
- Hands-on experience with commissioning and high-risk construction activities.
- Ability to drive a proactive safety culture in fast-paced project environments
