1. Job Purpose / Role Objective To ensure consistent dyeing quality of yarn by monitoring dyeing processes, testing dyed yarn, and ensuring compliance with approved shade, fastness, and customer quality standards.

2. Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities a) Monitor and control yarn dyeing quality across all dyeing processes (package dyeing, hank dyeing, space dyeing, etc.).

b) Ensure shade matching and shade consistency as per approved standards and customer requirements.

c) Conduct quality testing of dyed yarn including shade checking, color fastness, and lab evaluations.

d) Perform in-process and final inspections of dyed yarn before packing and dispatch.

e) Analyze dyeing defects such as shade variation, barre, patchiness, staining, and recommend corrective actions.

f) Coordinate with dyeing production, lab, and maintenance teams to resolve quality issues.

g) Conduct machine and process audits in the dyeing department.

h) Maintain accurate QC documentation, test reports, and batch-wise records.

i) Support new shade developments, trials, and customer sampling.

j) Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and quality standards.

3. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

a) Shade approval rate and first-time-right percentage.

b) Reduction in re-dyeing, shade corrections, and rejections.

c) Compliance with color fastness and quality standards.

d) Timeliness and accuracy of QC testing and reporting.

Audit compliance and closure of quality non-conformities.

f) Customer satisfaction related to dyeing quality.

4. Qualifications & Experience a) Diploma / Degree in Textile Technology / Textile Engineering / Chemistry.

b) 2 - 6 years of experience in Dyeing QC, preferably in yarn dyeing operations.

5. Competencies / Skills Required a) Strong knowledge of yarn dyeing processes and quality parameters.

b) Good understanding of dyes, chemicals, shade matching, and color fastness testing.

c) Experience with lab equipment and shade evaluation systems.

d) Analytical and problem-solving skills for quality issues.

e) Positive coordination and communication skills.

f) Ability to maintain detailed QC documentation.

g) Basic computer knowledge for reporting and records.
