About the Role

We are looking for a skilled .NET Developer with strong Visual Basic/VB.NET experience to join our development team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in developing, maintaining, debugging, and enhancing applications using the Microsoft .NET technology stack.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, maintain, and enhance applications using VB.NET and the .NET Framework/.NET .
- Design, develop, test, and deploy software applications based on business requirements.
- Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code following coding standards and best practices.
- Develop and maintain Windows/Desktop and/or Web applications .
- Work with SQL Server , including writing queries, stored procedures, functions, and database-related logic.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues and production defects.
- Integrate applications with APIs, databases, and third-party systems.
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and application performance optimization.
- Understand existing applications and perform enhancements and modifications as required.
- Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, and other developers to deliver projects on time.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation related to applications and development activities.

Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in Visual Basic / VB.NET .




- Good knowledge of .NET Framework / .NET .
- Proficiency in ASP.NET and/or Windows Forms/WPF.
- Strong knowledge of C# will be an added advantage.
- Positive working knowledge of SQL Server and database concepts.
- Experience with Web APIs/REST APIs .
- Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
- Good debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with Git or other version control systems .
- Good understanding of SDLC and software development best practices.

Preferred Skills
- Experience in migrating or modernizing VB6/VB.NET applications.
- Knowledge of .NET Core / .NET 6+.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure or other cloud platforms.
- Knowledge of Entity Framework/Entity Framework Core.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Experience working with legacy applications and integrating them with modern technologies.

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering , or a related field.
- Relevant technical certifications would be an advantage.
