QRole & responsibilities-

Plan, coordinate and monitor day-to-day execution of Consumer Meter Installation, DT Meter Installation, and associated AMI activities within the assigned Division; ensure achievement of daily/weekly/monthly targets and timely completion of project milestones.

1.) Coordinate with PGVCL EE/DE/JE/Line Staff, PIA, contractors and vendors for work-front availability, shutdowns, site access and field execution.

2.) Monitor Supervisors, Technicians, and installation teams daily; ensure optimum manpower deployment and resource utilization.

Track team/technician-wise productivity, identify bottlenecks/idle manpower and implement corrective actions to achieve installation targets.

3.) Supervise meter installation, consumer indexing, validation, WFM, quality checks and documentation as per SOPs.

4.) Ensure availability and proper utilization of meters, SMC/DB boxes, cables, seals and other materials to avoid field downtime.

5.) Identify and resolve hindrances, technical/operational issues and work-front constraints; escalate critical issues with corrective action plans.

6.) Monitor contractor/vendor performance, manpower, productivity, quality and timelines.

7.) Ensure compliance with technical specifications, quality standards, HSSE requirements, electrical safety and PPE practices.

8.) Track Division-wise targets vs. actuals and drive corrective measures for underperforming teams.

9.) Prepare and submit DPR, productivity, manpower, MIS, material, pending/rejection and hindrance reports.

Maintain accurate field records and ensure timely reporting to Circle/Project Management.

11.) Possess solid leadership, stakeholder management, communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

12.) Proficient in MS Office, particularly MS Excel and Word; working knowledge of PowerPoint/Outlook and MIS tools.

13.) Fluent in Gujarati, Hindi and English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.

14.) Willing to undertake extensive field visits and independently manage Division-level operations to ensure maximum productivity, quality execution, and timely achievement of AMI targets.

Preferred candidate profile -

5+ years of relevant experience in power utility projects, AMI/Smart Metering, field operations, stakeholder management, team management, consumer engagement, or similar field-intensive assignments. Experience in DISCOM/utility projects will be preferred.

Candidates with experience of RDSS, RAPDRP, IPDS, DDUGJY Kusum Projects will be preferred.

Qualification-

B.E./B.Tech (Electrical) or Diploma in Electrical Engineering Full Time
