Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated Digital Publishing Automation Engineer to support and enhance our digital content production and publishing workflows. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical skills with excellent problem-solving abilities and effective communication to help automate processes, improve efficiency, and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality digital content.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain automation solutions for digital content production and publishing workflows.
- Create and manage scripts to automate repetitive tasks and streamline operational processes.
- Work with structured content and data formats to support content transformation and delivery.
- Troubleshoot workflow issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
- Collaborate with editorial, production, and technology teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Monitor publishing workflows and proactively communicate risks, dependencies, and potential bottlenecks.
- Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the content lifecycle.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and recommend automation opportunities.

Technical Skills

- Experience with scripting languages such as JavaScript, Python, Node JS, Extend script
- Proficiency in working with structured data formats such as DITA XML, JSON, and CSV.
- Solid understanding of HTML and CSS.
- Experience with digital content creation, transformation, and publishing workflows.
- Familiarity with content management systems and publishing pipelines.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with digital publishing, educational publishing, or content production environments.
- Familiarity with workflow automation tools and content transformation processes.
- Knowledge of Adobe InDesign and scripting is a plus.
- Experience working with XML-based publishing systems is an advantage.

Experience 5+ years of relevant experience in automation, digital publishing, content operations, or a related field.
