About the Role

WXM Productions is looking for a skilled Dialogue Writer to work on a project basis for our Indian pro wrestling content. The role involves writing sharp, high-energy dialogue for designated segments within our episodic content, ensuring the language, tone, and delivery resonate strongly with an Indian pro wrestling audience.

Key Responsibilities

- Write dialogue for designated segments within each episode (approx. 8 minutes of content per 48-minute episode), based on an already-finalized story and scene structure provided by the production team.
- Craft dialogue suited to pro wrestling storytelling - promos, callouts, confrontations, and in-ring exchanges - in a natural, conversational Hindi-English (Hinglish) style.
- Ensure dialogue aligns with each performer's established character voice, persona, and ongoing storyline continuity across episodes.
- Incorporate culturally relevant language, expressions, and references that connect authentically with Indian audiences.
- Collaborate with the creative/production team to revise dialogue based on feedback, ensuring consistency with the overall episode and brand tone.




- Deliver dialogue drafts within agreed project timelines to support production schedules.
- Maintain consistency in character personality, rivalry arcs, and voice across the scope of the project.

Requirements

- Proven experience in dialogue writing for TV, OTT, sports-entertainment, or similar scripted/episodic content.
- Strong command over Hindi, English, and Hinglish, with the ability to write natural, spoken-style dialogue suited for performance delivery.
- Understanding of pacing, character voice, and audience engagement within short, high-impact segments.
- Ability to work within a given scene/story structure and enhance it through dialogue, without altering plot or continuity.
- Solid grasp of pro wrestling storytelling conventions, contemporary Indian pop culture, colloquialisms, and audience sensibilities.
- Ability to work to project-based timelines and deliverable milestones.

Preferred

- Prior experience writing for pro wrestling, sports-entertainment, or reality content.
- Familiarity with adapting or localizing dialogue originally written by other writers or teams.

Project Scope & Deliverables

- Finalized dialogue script for the assigned segment (approx. 8 minutes/episode), delivered in the agreed format and timeline.
- Engagement structured on a project basis, covering an agreed number of episodes/segments as scoped at project kickoff.
