We are looking for an experienced Design Engineer with robust expertise in mechanical and machine design to join our Design team. The candidate will be responsible for designing and developing CNC machines, fixtures, automation systems and machine components, while also guiding junior design engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop 2D & 3D mechanical models for CNC machines, fixtures and automation systems.
- Prepare detailed manufacturing drawings, assembly drawings and BOMs.
- Ensure designs are manufacturable, cost-effective and accurate.
- Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Service and Project teams.
- Identify and resolve design-related issues during manufacturing and assembly.
- Work on design improvements and new product development.
- Guide and mentor junior design engineers and trainees.
- Maintain proper design documentation and revision control.
- Apply GD&T;, tolerances and engineering standards in designs.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Machine Design and Mechanical Design.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks / AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
- Experience in CNC machine, automation, fixture or special-purpose machine design.
- Good understanding of GD&T;, tolerances and manufacturing processes.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to independently handle design projects and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
