This is a role with both DS and DE exposure , this is not a technical resource rather a technical leader who can design solutions in Databricks and guide the rest of the technical team members

: Data & Analytics Application Support

Databricks, Power BI, and Stakeholder Enablement

Role Summary

Seeking support, development, enhancement, and production readiness of data-driven applications and analytics workflows. This role will partner closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and project owners to translate operational needs into reliable Databricks, Power BI, and app-based solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Stakeholder Communication and Business Support

- Partner with business users, planners, analysts, and technical stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into actionable technical tasks.
- Facilitate working sessions, capture feedback, document decisions, and communicate progress clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Help validate application behavior with users and support UAT, demos, and production readiness reviews.
- Create clear documentation, release notes, process guides, and support materials for app users.

Databricks and Data Engineering Support

- Build and maintain Databricks notebooks, SQL queries, jobs, and Delta table workflows.
- Support Databricks Jobs orchestration, job parameters, job monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Work with Delta tables, Unity Catalog, Lakebase/Postgres, Databricks SQL warehouses, and PySpark-based transformations.
- Help design reliable data flows between source tables, app inputs, optimizer jobs, review outputs, and downstream systems.
- Support debugging of job failures, permissions issues, table access,



and data quality concerns.

Application and Workflow Support

- Assist with enhancements to Streamlit or Python-based internal applications.
- Support app features such as applications with user input forms, validation logic, review pages, notifications, and job triggers.
- Help modularize code, improve maintainability, and support production hardening.
- Collaborate on testing, deployment packaging, Git branching, pull requests, and release management.

Power BI and Reporting Support

- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, semantic models, reports, and operational views.
- Create data models using Power Query, DAX, and SQL-backed datasets.
- Partner with stakeholders to design clear visuals, KPIs, filters, and drilldowns.
- Support data validation between Power BI, Databricks, and source systems.

Required Skills

- Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with business stakeholders and technical teams.
- Hands-on experience with Databricks, including notebooks, SQL, Delta tables, jobs, and PySpark or Python.
- Strong SQL skills for querying, validation, troubleshooting, and data transformation.
- Experience with Power BI, including report development, data modeling, DAX, and dashboard design.
- Python experience for automation, data processing, or application support.




- Familiarity with Git-based development workflows, branching, commits, pull requests, and code reviews.
- Ability to document requirements, technical designs, test plans, and user-facing instructions.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with Streamlit or similar Python web app frameworks.
- Experience with Azure, AD groups, access management, or enterprise app permissions.
- Experience with Databricks Apps, Lakebase/Postgres, Oracle integration, or JDBC-based data movement.
- Understanding of manufacturing, production planning, order sequencing, supply chain, or operations analytics.
- Experience supporting production applications, including troubleshooting, issue triage, and user support.
- Familiarity with workflow automation, or Power Automate / Microsoft Graph integrations.

Ideal Candidate Profile The ideal contractor is technically strong but also highly cooperative. They can speak with planners and business users to understand what needs to happen, then work in Databricks, Power BI, SQL, and Python to help deliver it. They should be comfortable operating in an evolving environment where requirements may start as a business process conversation and need to become a reliable data workflow or application enhancement.

- Stakeholders clearly understand status, risks, and delivered functionality.
- Databricks jobs and data flows are reliable, documented, and supportable.
- Power BI reports are accurate, usable, and aligned to business questions.
- Application enhancements are tested, version controlled, and production-ready.
- User feedback is captured and translated into clear technical improvements.
