We are looking for a motivated Data Engineer (Entry Level) to join our data team. This role is ideal for someone starting their career in data engineering, with foundational knowledge of SQL, Python, and cloud data warehousing concepts.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Write basic to intermediate SQL queries for data extraction and reporting
- Assist in writing Python scripts for simple data transformation and automation tasks
- Learn and work with Snowflake objects — tables, views, warehouses, stages, and file formats
- Support data loading tasks using COPY INTO and basic Snowpipe configurations
- Perform manual and scripted data quality checks under supervision
- Assist senior engineers in debugging pipeline failures and data mismatches
- Help maintain documentation for data pipelines and processes
- Learn Git-based version control and basic CI/CD workflows
- Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and knowledge-sharing sessions
- Build understanding of ETL/ELT concepts, data warehousing fundamentals, and cloud storage integration (S3/Azure Blob/GCS)
Required Skills:
- Basic knowledge of SQL and Python
- Understanding of relational databases and data warehousing concepts
- Exposure to Snowflake (academic, internship, or project-based) is a plus
- Valuable analytical and problem-solving skills
- Eagerness to learn cloud data platforms
- Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
