About the Role

GyanSys Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer / Consultant to join our expanding Data & Analytics practice. This role is ideal for professionals with a robust background in designing, developing, and optimizing enterprise-grade data engineering solutions. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in building and maintaining scalable data pipelines, integrating diverse data sources, and implementing modern data architectures on cloud platforms.

The position offers an excellent opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies such as Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Engineering, Databricks, and more, contributing to large-scale digital transformation projects for global clients. The role requires a proactive individual with strong technical expertise, collaborative spirit, and a passion for data innovation.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. A minimum of four years of professional experience in data engineering or a similar domain is essential.

Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Fabric Data Engineer Associate, Azure Data Engineer Associate, or Databricks Certified Data Engineer are highly preferred. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in cloud platforms,



data modeling, SQL, and data pipeline development, along with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Experience working with enterprise systems like SAP, Oracle, or SQL Server will be advantageous.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines to support enterprise data platforms, ensuring efficient data ingestion, transformation, and storage.
- Leverage technologies such as Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, PySpark, Spark SQL, and Python to build robust data engineering solutions.
- Create data pipelines capable of processing structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data from diverse sources including SQL databases, APIs, cloud storage, ERP systems, and SaaS applications.
- Utilize Microsoft Fabric components such as Fabric Data Factory, Lakehouse, Warehouse, Dataflows, and Notebooks to implement end-to-end data workflows.
- Develop and optimize Databricks notebooks, Spark jobs, Delta Lake pipelines, and Databricks workflows for performance and scalability.
- Implement modern data architecture principles such as Medallion Architecture and Lakehouse/Data Platform frameworks to ensure data quality, security, and governance.
- Design and implement efficient data models, data warehouses, data lakes, and Lakehouse solutions aligned with business requirements.
- Optimize data pipelines, Spark jobs, SQL queries, clusters, and storage solutions for performance, cost-efficiency, and scalability.
- Implement data quality, validation, monitoring, governance, security, and compliance practices to ensure data integrity and regulatory adherence.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub,



and other version control tools to streamline deployment processes.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement performance improvements to ensure system reliability.
- Collaborate closely with solution architects, business analysts, data scientists, and BI teams to deliver comprehensive data solutions.
- Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, documentation, and knowledge-sharing initiatives to foster best practices.
- Mentor junior engineers, promote technical excellence, and contribute to the continuous improvement of team capabilities.
