Overview

We are looking for a Data Analyst to analyze business data, build insightful dashboards, and translate data into actionable recommendations across enterprise data and reporting platforms, with a strong focus on business intelligence and data storytelling.

The role will partner with business functions to define KPIs, uncover trends, and support self-service BI, data-driven decision-making, and analytics adoption aligned with the organization’s analytics vision.

Key Responsibilities

Data Analysis & Insights

- Analyze large business datasets to identify trends, patterns, gaps, and improvement opportunities.
- Define and track KPIs and business metrics in partnership with functional stakeholders.
- Perform data validation, reconciliation, and root-cause analysis to ensure accuracy of reported numbers.

Dashboard & Reporting

- Develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.
- Build and optimize semantic models and measures, including star schema, DAX, and calculated KPIs.
- Enable self-service analytics for business users and drive adoption through training and documentation.

Data Preparation

- Source, cleanse, and transform data in Databricks/Azure.
- Work closely with data engineering teams to define requirements for curated data layers and data marts.

Report Performance & Optimization

- Optimize queries, datasets, and refresh schedules for improved report performance.




- Handle large datasets efficiently and standardize recurring reports to reduce manual effort.

Required Qualifications

- 5–8 years of relevant experience.
- BE / B.Tech / MCA / MSc in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics / MBA in Analytics, or a related quantitative field.
- Robust hands-on experience with Power BI.
- Strong experience with SQL.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, including dimensional modeling and star schema.
- Advanced Excel skills, including Power Query, Pivot Tables, and What-If Analysis.
- Hands-on experience with data visualization best practices, storyboarding, and business reporting.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to translate business questions into analysis and insights into recommendations.
- Strong communication and data storytelling skills across business and technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with Microsoft Fabric and Databricks SQL.
- Experience with Python or R for data analysis and statistical techniques, including correlation, regression, and forecasting.
- Understanding of business processes across SCM, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, or HR.
- Knowledge of data governance tools such as Microsoft Purview.
- Exposure to Agentic AI, Copilot Studio, and Gennie.
- Exposure to AI/ML use cases or Copilot / GenAI-enabled analytics.
- Experience working in the Manufacturing industry.
- Regulatory experience, particularly in the Pharma industry, is an added advantage.
